DESCRIPTION: What is the Stissing House thinking? The menu is disorganized, the food choices are poor and the actual dishes are sloppy and of poor quality. What a major disappointment. I was shocked to see what a mess they made of the menu and the food.

DESCRIPTION: We have been going up to the area for years and have always thought that Stissing House was no more than a TGIF Restaurant disguised in a beautiful house. But since new management has taken over ... WOW! The food is fantastic. Fresh, interesting, and and above all delicious! Cudos to the new team! Can't wait to become a regular!

Needs to be more consistent for the price
DESCRIPTION: We ate at Sienna a number of times before we stopped going there. Sometimes it was great, but too often the kitchen seemed to be asleep at the wheel... particularly with things under/overcooked and unimaginative sides. The service staff and the bartender are the best. However at these prices (high $20s for most entrees when we last visited) we expect every meal to be highest quality rather than "take your chances".

Hard to Beat

Rudeness of restaurant staff
DESCRIPTION: I was a guest in a wedding reception at the Carltun, Eisenhower Park. I regret to complain that the rudeness of the staff overshadowed the elegance of the place. "The hands of your waitress is already in front of my face to take my drinking glass which was still in my mouth". The removal of plates was deliberately made in a hurry without any politeness shown, and the waiters and waitresses at table #12 were with unfriendly looks. What characters!!

Outstanding Wedding
DESCRIPTION: I just attended a wedding at the Carltun, Eisenhower Park. on September 8th. It is by far the best wedding I have ever attended. The food and service was outstanding. People were incredibly helpful. It was just like eating in a fourstar restaurant. I heard many wonderful comments from the other guests at the wedding.

Forget-a-Bout Tony
DESCRIPTION: I have attended several weddings, business functions, and private dinners at the Carltun. The professional service and exceptionally polite staff is exceeded only by the outstanding cuisine. I, like many other Long Islanders, cherish this "DIAMOND-IN-THE-ROUGH" restaurant, and shall continue to be a regular patron (we have reservations this week!). As for Tony's opinion above, we all have been to weddings with unkind guests, whose embaressingly loud, obnoxiously-outspoken behaviour becomes an uncomfortable experience to be endured by those unfortunate enough to be near him. (Pray for him, and ignore his low self-esteem outbursts). This is certainly a vintage establishment, a great place to impress out of town guests (they will rave about your great dining choice).

DESCRIPTION: Was considering suggesting the Carltun for a 65th brithday celebration-am reconsidering after a recent event we attended there. We must agree with the first review criticizing the service The servers did seeme rushed, rehearsed and robotic. Certainly, they do this hundreds of times a year but the indifference of our server was unnerving. We had to repeat our orders twice (the ambient crowd noise wasn't particularly loud at the time)and they still got it wrong. When removing our plates-and this it the thing that prompted me to write since we certainly can't complain to the hosts-the server managed to smear the plate on the side of my husband's jacket and drop small pieces of food on his lap as he rushed the plates away. No apology, never even a glance back though there was an audible gasp of surprise on our parts. The food was passable; some of it was overly salty. Mediocre masquerading as upscale.

Wow, has the service changed!
DESCRIPTION: We got married here 4 years ago and couldn't have been more pleased with the service, food, etc. We go back for special occasions, most recently our anniversary. We waited 35 minutes for our water, bread and drink orders. Although the manager was aware and extremely apologetic, did not make an adjustment to bill for drinks, etc. We spoke with the owner and mentioned that although the food was excellent, we were disappointed with the service. He smiled and said "That's too bad". Too bad we won't be going back.

What a wonderful place to have an affair!!
DESCRIPTION: Had my Mom's 70th Birthday Party here. What a wonderful time it was! The food was outstanding. The service was excellent!! Casual Family Fun
DESCRIPTION: Tully's is a the place to take the whole family. It's a good place to go to when you don't feel like getting all dressed up. The food is good, nothing gournmet, although much better than you would expect for a family restaurant. The prices are very reasonable two can dine for under $30 including drinks. The staff is energetic and friendly although a bit uneven.

Never been so happy in my whole life!!!
DESCRIPTION: Gosh, where do I start? The food is great, and very reasonable. The staff is very cheery and bring a happy mood to the energetic atmosphere. The kids got a kick out of their zany mascot Tully The Turtle!!! Tully's is definately a great place for the whole family, especially for sports lovers young and old. Keep up the good work Tully's.

Great Food
DESCRIPTION: Tully's is an above average resturant when you don't want to dress up and go out to eat. The people working there are friendly, the food is amazing and you have a great time there! Best Pizza in NY
DESCRIPTION: The pizza at this restaurant is as good as any I have ever tasted. It has a great tasting sauce and excellent amounts of cheese and toppings. Crust is tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Not much more to say about pizza except ... WOW!

Bad Service
DESCRIPTION: Fireside has always has good food, but the last time we visited the service was horrible. We used to go to the buffet every Monday, but a noisy football team also has this tradition. Not good in a small restaurant like that. Also, our waitress was short with us the entire time.

A real gem!
DESCRIPTION: What can I say? Good food, good service, and reasonable prices in a family-oriented restaurant. I've eaten there numerous times. No complaints. The owner is a very gracious host and is personally involved with the daily operation. Great scenic views, especially from the upstairs dining room. Dining on the outdoor patio in summer with the mountains in the background is a real treat. Check out the pancakes for breakfast. Unbelieveable! Bet you can't eat three of them. Highly recommended if you're in Lake Placid!

Very disappointing dinner
DESCRIPTION: My husband and I went to Goldberries for the first time a week ago and the food was a terrific disappointment! The veal cutlet was greasy and unappetizering. The presentation of the entree was totally lacking. We will never go back to Goldberries again!

Great place
DESCRIPTION: We stumbled by after watching a movie at a nearby theater.we ate at the bar as "monday night football" was on the tv's.my wife orderded the fish and chips while i stuck to the football special .20 cent wings.after finishing our food we stayed longer than planned (thankyou rob)and had a ball of a time.
